Andy Smith was always associated as being the ‘Portishead DJ’. Not satisfied with that crown alone, Mr. Smith went on to be the first DJ to release a multi-genre mix album on a major label. His seminal mix album ‘The Document’ hit the streets back in 1998 and became the soundtrack for a generation –It segued tracks from artists such as Tom Jones; Peggy Lee The Jungle Brothers, Jeru The Damager and even The Spencer Davis Group.
